Our Mission
Christ the King's
mission is to provide a
sanctuary for worship and to encourage a real
understanding of the Gospel in our community. The church strives to serve the
Valley spiritually and also provide a bridge to those in need
with people and organizations that can help provide food, shelter, and
other necessities.
As a visitor, or
a resident of the Antelope Valley, you have many choices for your
worship experience. Thank you for considering Christ the King.
We are a simple and loving group of people temporarily using the
facilities of the good Christian people of St. Stephen's of the
Valley Lutheran Church with whom we have historically and
continually enjoyed a close association. While we remain
constant and faithful in our identity as an Episcopal
congregation, we have, with the blessing of our Bishop, the
Right Reverend Jon Bruno, committed ourselves to the ongoing development
of "The Antelope Valley Parish," a project of mission and
ministry combining the strengths of four Lutheran churches and
Christ the King in an effort to discover and setup a plan for
service and mission on the west side of the Antelope Valley. We
invite you to join us in our worship and in our ecumenical
efforts.
